Alderman Roofing Lead Flashings
Alderman Roofing supply and fit all lead flashings to the strictest and highest of standards. Whether the flashings be for an abutment which has a regular course or irregular course we observe and implement the same stringent procedure.
Alderman Roofing follow a procedure observing the following guidelines according to the LSA:
All lengths of lead flashings are never any longer than 1.5m
All overlaps are at least 120mm long
The total abutment upright is never less than 150mm in total
The horizontal aspect is 150-200mm dependent on profile
Free edges are clipped to prevent wind-lift
A lead wedge is fixed in each cut course in regular abutments for step flashings
A lead wedge is fixed at a minimum of 450mm centres for irregular cover flashings
All soakers have a minimum of 75mm vertical and 100mm horizontal cover
